Dr Ananta Shrestha is a dedicated new generation hepatologist who has already shown his promise. He completed MBBS from Nepal Medical College in 2002 with a distinction. He later pursued MD in Hepatology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka from 2005 to 2010. Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina awarded him with prestigious Prime Minister’s Gold Medal of Bangladesh for the year 2010 for his academics in faculty of medicine in the country. He practices clinical Hepatology and is trained in therapeutic endoscopy and image guided interventions of the liver. He has keen interest in viral hepatitis and actively involved in research of hepatitis viruses in the country. He is currently the secretary of Nepalese Association for The Study of Liver (NASL) and Executive Committee member of South Asian Association for The Study of Liver (SAASL).
